Mayan Zodiac

Below you will encounter nineteen month glyphs representing the Mayan Zodiac. They are from the Haab’, part of the Maya calendric system, and show the nineteen month signs of the Mayan year. Included are signs for Pop, Chen, Kankin, Uayeb, and more. They come from the British Museum Guide to the Maudslay Collection of Mayan Sculptures from Central America printed in 1923. When you click on an individual image, you’ll find more details about each one of the symbols. If you enjoy learning about the Mayan Zodia, you may also want to take a look at the galleries with Day Signs from the Maya Calendar as well as the Maya Numbers. Have fun!
