Maya Calendar

Shown in this gallery are twenty-one symbols from the Maya Calendar representing the twenty Day Signs. They come from the British Museum Guide to the Maudslay Collection of Mayan Sculptures from Central America printed in 1923. They were drawn from various Mayan monuments and depict glyphs for Imix, Akbal, Cimi, Lamat, and more. Click on an individual image and you’ll find more information about each one of the signs. If you find these symbols interesting, be sure to check in on the other pages with Maya Gods and the Mayan Zodiac. Enjoy!
