Princess Victoria
On this page you’ll find nine black and white drawings of Princess Victoria who became queen of the United Kingdom and Ireland when she was eighteen. Her father died when she was a baby, and she was raised by her mother and educated at home by a series of governesses. It was said that she was a bright and intelligent child with a keen interest in politics and government. The images here are from the book V.R.I.: Queen Victoria – Her Life and Empire by the Marquis of Lorne, which was published in 1901.
