Primates Collection

Primates are a diverse order of mammals categorized into several groups. Prosimians, considered more primitive, include lemurs, lorises, and tarsiers. Monkeys, the largest primate group, are further divided into New World monkeys (found in the Americas with features like prehensile tails) and Old World monkeys (found in Africa and Asia, often with cheek pouches and non-prehensile tails). Finally, apes, which include gibbons, orangutans, gorillas, chimpanzees, bonobos, and humans, are generally larger, tailless primates with more complex brains and behaviors.
