Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table
In this gallery are twelve color images of Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. The drawings were done by William Russell Flint for an edition of Le Morte D’Arthur published in 1921. King Arthur, a legendary figure, united the fractured kingdom of Britain and established his court at Camelot. He gathered the noblest knights of the land, forming the Knights of the Round Table, a brotherhood dedicated to chivalry and justice. Together, they embarked on daring quests, fought against evil forces, and sought the Holy Grail. However, betrayal and internal strife eventually led to the downfall of Camelot and the tragic demise of King Arthur. His legend, however, lives on, inspiring tales of courage, honor, and the enduring power of good. This page features illustrations of Merlin, Morgan le Fay, King Arthur, Queen Guenever, Sir Launcelot, and others.
