Old English Letters

Old English Letters

These delightful Old English Letters are from the book Styles of Ornament by Alexander Speltz, 1906. They are letters taken from manuscripts of the 12th century, which are located in the British Museum in England. Each image has at least two letters. You’ll notice that some letters have a variation, and there is no letter J, since some older alphabets used the letters I and J interchangeably. I hope you enjoy these fun Old English letters. And you may want to check out the Letters in Old English and the Old English Alphabet pages as well.
