Below are ten lovely black and white illustrations from the first part of the journey of Odysseus, or Ulysses, as he is known in English. They come from a book published in 1909 called The Story of the Odyssey by Dr. Edward Brooks. There are guest appearances by the Cyclops, Circe, the Sirens, and poor, patient Penelope. You can find eight more images from that book in another gallery for The Odyssey. If you enjoy these images of Odysseus, you may want to visit the galleries with color drawings from the Iliad and Odyssey and Homer’s Odyssey before you go. Have a good time!
