On this page is an amazing assortment of sixteen color paintings of Pompeii the Ruins. They come from the book The Houses and Monuments of Pompeii by Fausto and Felice Niccolini. It was issued in Naples between 1854 and 1896 in a series of installments and eventually included more than 400 detailed color plates depicting the excavated city. Here you’ll find images of the Forum, the Arch of Fortune, the Temple of Isis, and more.
