Decorative Alphabet Letters

Decorative Alphabet Letters

It may be difficult to tell in the thumbnails, but each one of these Decorative Alphabet Letters contains two to three letters, with an additional image that features all the letters from A to Z. These letters were restored from a rather shabby copy of the book The Signists Modern Book of Alphabets designed by F. Delamotte, a draughtsman and engraver. The book was published in 1906. The letters are one of the more creative sets I’ve found. They feature all kinds of serpents and other creatures along with ornate flowers and leaves. And before you go, have a peek at the Victorian Decorative Letters and Fancy Lettering galleries. Enjoy!
