In this gallery are nine images of the Arcana Major cards from the Rider-Waite Tarot deck. This tarot deck is considered to be one of the most popular and influential tarot decks. It was originally published in 1909. Created by mystic A.E. Waite and illustrated by Pamela Colman Smith, the deck consists of 78 cards: 22 Major Arcana cards representing significant life themes and 56 Minor Arcana cards reflecting everyday situations. The Rider-Waite Tarot set the template for modern tarot. Many contemporary decks are based on or inspired by its structure and symbolism—making it a foundational tool for readers and creators alike.
