Arch Of Titus In Rome

Arch of Titus in Rome

In this gallery you will see nine color and black and white images of the Arch of Titus in Rome from a variety of angles. The Arch of Titus is a 1st-century AD triumphal arch located on the Via Sacra, Rome, just southeast of the Roman Forum. It was built in 81 AD by Emperor Domitian to commemorate his brother Titus’s victories, including the Jewish War and the capture of Jerusalem in 70 AD. The menorah depicted on the arch is the only known surviving image of the menorah from the Second Temple. If you find these images of the arch useful, be sure to take a look at the pages with illustrations of the Arch of Constantine and the Roman Pantheon. Enjoy!
