Fancy Alphabet Letters ~ Karen's Whimsy

Fancy Alphabet Letters

This assortment of Fancy Alphabet Letters is from Vere Foster’s Writing Copy-Book, Number 10, which was published around 1919. This particular style is labeled as “French” capitals. “This is a revival of the severity of the Old Roman letter, as found on antique monuments; it is becoming a great favorite from its extreme beauty and simplicity. Some of the letters are decorated with hair line finishing, which should be used on initial letters only.” Each image contains a set of two or three letters. Also, there is one image that contains the letters from A to Z. Before you go, be sure to drop by the Victorian Decorative Letters and Decorative Alphabet Letters pages.
