Japanese Folklore

Japanese Folklore

In this gallery you will see nine colorful images for an array of Japanese Folklore. There are drawings of Momotaro, the Kakemono Ghost, the maiden of Unai, and more. They are from the book Myths and Legends: Japan by F. Hadland Davis. It was published around 1915. Unfortunately, the name of the artist is not given. These illustrations have some imperfections due to their age, but I have done the best I can to bring out their loveliness. If you like these pictures, you should visit the pages for Legends of Japan and Myths of Japan from the same book. Have fun!
