Aztec Sculptures

Aztec Sculptures

In this gallery are nine sepia-toned images of Aztec Sculptures. They are from the books Mexiko II by Theodore Danzel and Mexiko III by Ernst Fuhrmann. Both books were published in 1923. Included is a pulque vessel and sculptures of the Corn Goddess, Chicomecohatl and the Fire God Xiuhtecutli. If you click on an individual picture, you’ll find more details about each piece. The explanations have been translated from German. If you find these Aztec Sculptures interesting, be sure to visit the other pages with Aztec Artwork and Aztec Artifacts from the same text. Enjoy!
