Freemasonry

On this page is an assortment of nine images relating to the the tools and emblems used in Freemasonry. You’ll see multiple images of columns. They stand for the supports of the Lodge and represent wisdom, strength, and beauty. In addition, there’s the iconic square and compass. This symbol is the badge of the Master Mason, which refers to the Mason’s duty to the craft and to himself. It is a symbol of brotherhood, balance, and stability. The letter “G” that is often found in the center of the square and compass stands for geometry and God.

These images are from the book History of the Ancient and Honorable Fraternity of Free and Accepted Masons and Concordant Orders by Lee C. Hascall, et. al. and published in 1890.
