Handmade Book :: Heart-chitecture

This handmade book is based on the Altered Book :: Heart-chitecture. It has been re-created in a limited edition set of five. Three books currently remain. Each page and the cover has been hand-painted using acrylic inks and paints and glitter. The art work inside uses tradtional, as well as digital collage of children reading in a fantasy world surrounded by beautiful birds, butterflies, and fish.

The text of the book is a poem that I wrote to express my love of reading and the magical worlds we create in our minds when we read.
