Contemporary Wall Art ~ Look Away, Look Away
This contemporary wall art was created using a book titled Look Away, Look Away. It is one of the pieces in my Broken Doll series of altered books. I chose this doll because her facial expression matched the title of the book perfectly. Sadly, she was missing both her legs and much of her hair had been cut off.I embellished the book and the doll using various found items such at watch gears and other metal pieces I’ve collected. The pictures on the right were made using vintage images. I also used wire, thread, an optical lens, copper nails, text from and old hymnal, and a holy medal.
Cares and sorrows lie before us
