Wall Hanging Sculpture ~ Saul and Patsy

Turquoise textured pages accordion out and spill over the edges of this wall hanging sculpture. Painted bands of gold paper from the book weave their way through the folded pages giving the suggestion of the play of light on water.

This book sculpture was created from a discarded book. I find inspiration in the title of the book and use various paints, inks, mediums, and pages taken from the book itself to create the piece. The book is supported on the back with a wooden frame, and strung with picture hanging wire, allowing it to hang flat on the wall.
