This pages of this pieceĀ appear to float out of the night sky with layers of shimmering pearlescent beams of light spilling out from the book.The background is glossy and textured with acrylic paints and mediums. Each paper strip has been hand cut and colored with oil pastels.
ThisĀ piece of unique wall art was created from aĀ discardedĀ book. Most of my book sculptures are inspired by the title of the book and designed using paints, inks, mediums, and pages taken from the book itself. The books are supported on the back with a painted wooden frame, and strung with picture hanging wire, allowing them to be hung flat on the wall.
