Hand Painted Wall Hanging ~ Dreamweaver

This altered book threads brightly colored paper through glossy white pages to create this hand painted wall hanging.

Acrylic inks were used to dye the colorful paper strips that weave through the white glossy surface. Then each square of color was accented with a tiny contrasting square of painted paper.

Dreamweaver was created using an unwanted book. The piece was inspired by the title of the book and designed using acrylic paints, inks, mediums, and pages taken from the book itself. The books are supported on the back with wood, and strung with picture hanging wire, allowing them to be hung flat.
