Handmade Paper Sculpture ~ Dream of Orchids

Imagine yourself in the humid jungle. You’re surrounded by vines and tendrils. Everywhere you look you see the intoxicating colors and shapes of vibrant, luscious orchids. For this handmade paper sculpture, each petal, leaf, and stem was designed, hand-colored, cut, and assembled by me from the pages of this book.

This book sculpture was inspired by the title of the book and designed using paints, inks, and mediums. The book is supported on the back with a painted wooden frame, and strung with picture hanging wire, allowing it to be hung flat on a wall.
