Contemporary Wall Sculpture ~ The King’s Garden
In this contemporary wall sculpture golden leaves and vines spill out of two rounded windows. The surface of the altered pages are richly textured with metallic green and green gold acrylic. Individual leaves are covered with gold leaf and gold metallic paint, pouring out with regal elegance.This piece was created from a discarded book, and I found my inspiration from the book’s title. I used acrylic paints, inks, mediums, and pages taken from the book itself. The book is supported on the back with a painted wooden frame and strung with picture hanging wire, allowing it to hang flat against the wall.
