Pirates

On this page are twenty-one color and black and white images of Pirates. They come from three different versions of the Robert Louis Stevenson classic adventure novel Treasure Island. Frank Godwin, Wal Paget, and Salomon Van Abbe are the artists who drew these illustrations. This story, which was originally serialized in the children’s magazine Young Folks between 1881 and 1882, has been enjoyed by readers of all ages for generations. It is a story of adventure, danger, and self-discovery, and it has inspired many other editions, movies, and other works of fiction. If you like these drawings of Pirates, you’ll find plenty more in the galleries with more Images of Pirates and Pirate Pictures. Enjoy!
