Celtic Designs

In this gallery is an assortment of eighteen lovely illustrations of Celtic Designs. They come from two books. The first is The Grammar of Ornament by Owen Jones, written in 1910. The second is Colored Ornament of All Historical Styles by Alexander Speltz, published in 1914. The drawings show various interlaced and circular ornaments, scrolls, and other patterns in color. Click on the drawings and you’ll find more information for each piece, if it was available. If you are enjoying these designs from the Celts, you should definitely stop by the pages containing drawings of Celtic Jewelry and other Art of the Celts. Have fun!
